Looking for a unique Christmas gift for the book lover in your life? Enter our competition for a chance to win one of five bespoke, individually curated Booker shortlists, each one made up of six books from the Booker Library and inspired by your loved one’s favourite reads

Publication date and time: Published

To enter, simply fill in the form below, telling us for whom you would like to win a bespoke Booker shortlist, as well as listing some of their favourite books (they don’t have to be Booker-nominated titles) and telling us about their other interests.

Entries are open until 29 November 2022. We will then select five winners at random and a Christmas-themed parcel containing the UK editions of six Booker-nominated books, individually chosen by the Booker team, will be shipped to each of the winners, anywhere in the world, to arrive before Christmas Day. Winners will be informed by 2 December.

Booker Prize winning books

Terms and conditions

This is a free draw, with only one entry allowed per person, and we reserve the right to disqualify any entries where we suspect one person has used a number of different email addresses. Use or attempted use of any automated or other non-manual entry methods is prohibited.

The draw is governed by our general rules for competitions, available here, but the following specifics also apply (and take precedence should there be any contradiction or ambiguity):

  • There will be 5 winners, selected at random from entries received before 23.59 GMT (UK time) on 29 November 2022.
  • Each winner will receive their own bespoke set of 6 books selected specially for each of them by Gaby Wood, the Director of the Booker Prize Foundation, after taking into account the list of favourite books and biographical details which each entrant is asked to provide. Gaby’s selection is final and cannot be changed, and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into on this.
  • The competition is open to those resident outside the UK subject to the proviso that an entry is not eligible if it is from a resident in a country or jurisdiction where this free draw may breach any local law or regulation.
  • Winners will be notified by email no later than 18.00 GMT (UK time) on 2 December 2022 and must promptly provide a fully operative postal address and phone number for delivery of their prize. If we have not received this within 48 hours of us notifying a winner, we will have no obligation to deliver the prize.
  • We are planning to publicise the name of the winners, their location (in general terms, not specific addresses) and the gift selection made for them, and we will be in contact with winners to finalise how we present this.
  • We can only undertake to do what is reasonable in all the circumstances to ensure prizes reach winners before Christmas (ie before 23 December) 2022.
  • We can only undertake to do what is reasonable in all the circumstances to deliver a prize to a location outside the UK.
  • Bearing in mind, among other things, the value of the prize itself in relation to cost of delivery, we reserve the right (and this is determined at our sole discretion) to ask a winner to provide an alternative address for delivery to a person/location where the cost is proportionate.
  • Winners are responsible for any taxes or duties they may have to pay in order to take receipt of their prize.
  • We are not responsible for any damage to the prize in the course of delivery; while we will consider a request for a replacement (if available) if the prize arrives in a seriously damaged state, this is solely in our discretion depending on the particular circumstances.
  • These terms and conditions are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation determining any question or issue in relation to them.
