Eleanor Catton won the Booker Prize in 2013. She was born in Canada and raised in New Zealand. She is the author of two internationally celebrated novels: The Rehearsal and The Luminaries.

The Rehearsal was winner of the Amazon.ca First Novel Award, the Betty Trask Award, and the NZ Society of Authors’ Best First Book Award. It was also a finalist for the Guardian First Book Award, the Prix Femina, and the Dylan Thomas Writers Prize. The Luminaries was winner of the 2013 Booker Prize and the Governor General’s Award for Fiction. Catton holds an MFA from the prestigious Iowa Writers’ Workshop and is the youngest ever winner of the Booker Prize. She currently lives in Cambridge, England.
