One day to go until the Man Booker Prize for Fiction 2014 Shortlist...

Tomorrow - on Tuesday 9 September - we will be unveiling the shortlist for the Man Booker Prize for Fiction 2014.

The longlist of 13 novels - or the Man Booker dozen - will become a shortlist of six, as selected by our panel of judges  -  Sarah Churchwell, Daniel Glaser, Jonathan Bate, Alastair Niven and Erica Wagner, under the chairmanship of Anthony Grayling.

This year's longlist was the first for the expanded prize, as the Man Booker Prize for Fiction now welcomes authors of any nationality as long as they are published in the UK and written in English.

Richard Flanagan for The Narrow Road to the Deep North (Chatto & Windus)

Karen Joy Fowler for We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves (Serpent's Tail)
