Those lucky enough to be attending the DSC Jaipur Literature Festival can see the Man Booker International judges taking part in a variety of panel discussions and events during the course of the festival. Here is a reminder of who to see and when, including, of course, the announcement of the Man Booker International Prize List of Finalists.

January 24th

11.15 Christopher Ricks and Elif Batuman talk about “Global Shakespeare” at the Diggi Palace Hotel with Supriya Nair, Tim Supple and Homi Bhabha.

14.15 Tim Parks at the Diggi Palace discussing “Around India in 80 Trains” with Monisha Rajesh and William Dalrymple.

15.30 Yiyun Li talks about “The Art of the Short Story” with Nicholas Hogg and Richard Beard.

18.00 Man Booker Internnational Prize List of Finalists announced by Sir Christopher Ricks, followed by readings from the authors' works and a discussion and question and answer session.

25th January

10.00 Tim Parks at the Diggi Palace talks about “The Pursuit of Italy” with David Gilmour, Andrea de Robilant, Carlo Pizzatti, Rima Hooja.

12.30 Elif Batuman at the Diggi Palace discusses “What is a Classic?” with Anish Kapoor, Tom Holland, Ashok Vajpeyi and Homi Bhabha.

26th January

15.30 Aminatta Forna's event “Out of Africa”, with Arjan Sundarum, Mary Harper and Kwasi Kwarteng.

27th January

10.00   Elif Batuman at the Diggi Palace discusses “Natasha’s Dance” with Orlando Figes and John Kampfner.

Aminatta Forna talks about “The Global Soul and the Search for Home” with Pico Iyer,  Abraham Verghese, Laleh Kabreh and Akash Kapur.
