A D Miller

Born in London in 1974, Miller studied literature at the University of Cambridge and Princeton University. He worked as a television producer before joining The Economist. From 2004 to 2007 he was the magazine’s Moscow correspondent, travelling widely across Russia and the former Soviet Union. He is the author of the acclaimed family history The Earl of Petticoat Lane (2006). Snowdrops, his first novel, was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize, the CWA Gold Dagger and the James Tait Black prize for fiction, and is translated into 25 languages. His second novel will be published in 2014. He is currently The Economist's Writer at Large and lives in London with his wife and children.
