Anne Enright

Anne Enright

Anne Enright was born in Dublin in 1962, where she now lives and works.

Enright has published two collections of stories, collected as Yesterday’s Weather, one book of non-fiction, Making Babies, and five novels including The Gathering, which won the Irish Novel of the Year, the Irish Fiction Award and the 2007 Man Booker Prize, and The Forgotten Waltz, which was awarded the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction.

In January 2015, she was announced as the inaugural Laureate for Irish Fiction.

Enright’s novel The Green Road is longlisted for the 2015 Man Booker Prize for Fiction.
